Very nice food in a kitschy restaurant done up to look like a Russian house. There are lots of cute tchatckis everywhere. Staff was very attentive and polite. The food was well portioned, flavorful and interesting. Definitely worth the visit.

What an amazing restaurant!Cozy and typical russian style restaurant.All the dishes are perfectly cooked and so tasty.I sincerely recommend you all the dishes but my favorites are pelmenis, borsch varenis with onions, special Kalinka... A warm and welcoming staff :)

Was good! The apple pie was very fancy and good. Our server was very nice and helpful (we had a lot of questions). Some vegetarian options (not labelled that way, you should ask). Heads up if you are vegetarian-- the Olivie Salad has chicken. (I thought it was a typo for "olive" I was wrong! 🤣)

I was at my shop last night , starving so I came across this Russian cuisine I checked out the photos looks good and I ordered, this is at 9.00 Pm.I had great taste of Russian cuisine for a take out order, I will prefer to go in the restaurant to eat since is quality food.keep up the great quality I am going to come lunch at your restaurant from now on

We drove 45 minutes to dine at this restaurant. Although food was delicious,my food was brought to our table right away, but we had to wait over 25 minutes for my husband's dinner to arrive. Even though the chicken kotleti were hot, his fried potatoes were lukewarm. I finished my meal 15 minutes before my husband's dinner was even brought to our table. Very disappointing. We would have preferred eating our dinners together. Our waitress rarely checked on us even after we inquired about my husband's kotleti dinner. We had to ask the other waitress to refill our water glasses. Not sure if we will return. Great food, but poor service.

Great place with amazing food. The waitress speaks Russian and is very nice, explaining what each dish is. We tried a few different types of dishes and they were all delicious. I would definitely recommend.

Such a wonderful surprise! "Clean as a whistle"...this little Russian Restaurant puts out the most delisous 5☆+ food!For openers, you're served great bread! With a yummy dip.Kind servers are there to please.Portions are very ample...leftovers reheat beautifully.I was so glad they were there...I was having a very rough night...needed a quiet "lay-over" to gather my thoughts and have a good meal before venturing on.

Recently we got a chance to try something different, and for us, that was Russian food. Oh… my… God! I had no idea that Russian food could be so awesome! Everything from the beverages to the quaint décor. Never been to Russia, but plan to go. What a great opportunity to try some amazing food. Service was great, place was exceptionally clean, marking all the happy boxes as checked! Gotta come back. Thank you so much Kalinka for a wonderful culinary experience! Will definitely be back!❤💋😘

It was average experience. The food quality is average, portions aren't generous as posted on Yelp.The food presented doesn't Look anything like the Glamour shots posted. Ownership must have changed hands and standards have been lowered. I went for the dumplings (sorry, name of dish eludes me) but there were under the size of a ping pong ball. Tiny.., the server did reiterate that point. " They are small". Normally they are size of tangerine. I wish, I could rate higher, but this is what I have to report.

If you miss Russian good or you want to try at your first time, definitely you should go there! Very tasty, staff is very polite, the chef Tigran is very nice person, who always try to make the best for his guests. I personally tried borscht, Ukrainian traditional soup, yummy!

Very good food, a bit pricey but worth every penny. Russian cuisine in LA is not super popular so I understand tWhy they have to cover their bottom line. Got a traditional borscht, pelemeni (siberian russian dumplings) and chiken shashlik (russian version of a kabob) Also, a must have russian drink Kvas, it's kinda like a Russian kambucha.Great stuff!

I never had Russian cuisine before, so I didn't know what to expect. The food was quite tasty. It's pricey for lunch. I think that they should add some moderately priced lunch specials and the place would fill up fast.

Was here yesterday with family, really nice seating area with good background music. The food was great and portions were decent. Will go there again.

Quaint little spot. Easy to miss and not a lot of parking around dinner time. Will be going back. The flavors are wonderful. Be careful on the fish as they have bones that you will have to pick out.

Simple and clean design inviting of a casual presence. Relaxing music helps you enjoy the food all the much more. And the food itself is just delicious. I have not had Russian cuisine but this really does invite my taste buds to that world. Service is kind and pleasant to top it off and definitely a place I’d love to bring my date to.

Had a family style dinner and had the ability to try many dishes. While everything was excellent, the standouts were the Katchapuri (cheese bread), beef stroganoff, and the blintz dessert. You really cannot go wrong. Lovely flavors in each dish. The service was good and not overbearing. European pace.

What a great new find in the Burbank-Glendale area. Homestyle cooking, delicious, prepared very well. Service is excellent and friendly! In a little strip mall with parking. Recommend eggplant caviar spread, sauteed vegetables appetizer, special kalinka (beef), chicken kotleti, homemade preserves dessert!

Definitely the best Russian restaurant in Los Angeles. We were at Kalinka on March 16th with a party of six people. Some of the dishes we tried included: Beef Stroganoff, Fish, Temuri, Salad, and various appetizers; everything was extremely delicious. The Russian black bread and the white bread was unbelievably good, as they prepare it with the best ingredients, just like all their dishes. The staff was very nice and Chef Tigran personally came out to greet us at the end. Chef Tigran is extremely detailed in his work and he shows a commitment to quality that is hard to find in most restaurants. A true gem in Glendale and we left overwhelmingly happy and satisfied. We will definitely return.
